    New York-Based Real Estate Development Executive

     

    Seasoned real estate professional Harry Skydell has served as the director of acquisition and development for The 601W Companies in New York since 1998. As such, he identifies strategic investment opportunities and implements renovations to increase value. 601W focuses on the acquisition of high-visibility properties across the nation and in New York, Chicago, and Washington, DC, in particular. Harry Skydell has driven a number of the company’s most notable projects, including the renovations of Chicago’s Prudential Plaza and redevelopment of Manhattan’s Starrett-Lehigh Building.

    The Old Chicago Main Post Office represents one of Harry Skydell’s latest redevelopment efforts. In the course of its transformation into a home for new media offices, this building will enjoy the addition of a rooftop athletic arena with, among other things, a quarter-mile track and full-sized basketball court.

    Mr. Skydell formerly served as the president of Hudson Park Management, which he founded. This company focused on renovating small residential buildings in Harlem and Alphabet City. He also renovated the prominent Christadora House.
